Gina Pavlovich, Ed.D

Executive Director, AP Access for All & Niswonger Online

Gina is a native of Kingsport, where she graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School. She attended East Tennessee State University earning her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Teaching. Before joining the Niswonger Foundation, Gina worked as a Social Studies teacher and coach for Greeneville High School. She began her work with the Niswonger Foundation in 2011 as an online course facilitator of various Social Studies courses. In 2015 she accepted the position of Assistant Coordinator of Learning Resources at the Niswonger Foundation and now serves as the Coordinator of Learning Resources. Gina and her husband Marcos currently reside in Johnson City with their three children.

Samatha DeBord

Assistant Director, Curriculum & Teaching
Samatha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise and a Master of Arts in Teaching from East Tennessee State University.  She has over 15 years of classroom experience, with the majority of her tenure being spent as an AP Biology teacher at Dobyns-Bennett High School, in Kingsport.  She and her husband, Lance, reside in Bristol with their two children.

Jill Jaynes

Region 1

Jill Jaynes’s eventful career path has included political advising, nonprofit work, and public relations. She has served on the office staff of both U.S.  Senator Bob Corker and U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander.  Jill has also served as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Branding at her alma mater, Tusculum University. Jill is recently married to Patrick Jaynes, has a daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren and she enjoys volunteering and painting.  Now working with Niswonger, Jill’s community volunteerism speaks to the passion she feels for putting others first.

Assistant Director, Instructional Techology

Chris Dotson has taught Computer Science for 19 years at the Greene Technology Center in Greeneville, TN.  In addition to his technical support duties with the Niswonger Foundation, he currently teaches online for Tennessee Online Public School and the Niswonger Foundation.

Taylor Campbell

Coordinator of Finance

Taylor Ann is a native of the Fall Branch-Sulphur Springs Community, where she graduated from Daniel Boone High School.  After high school, she attended East Tennessee State University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Accountancy and Business Management as well as a Master’s degree of Accountancy, in December 2020.  While earning her Master’s degree, she worked alongside the Dean of Accounting for the College of Business as an assistant to him and his staff, in the accounting department. She also served as a tutor for the undergraduate students.  She has served as a church treasurer for several years.

Outside of work, Taylor Ann grew up and lives on an angus beef cattle farm with her family.  She serves as a mentor for students that attend her alma mater, Daniel Boone High School, and is active in her church. Her biggest passion is sharing her love of agriculture and financial literacy with the students of our region.

Wendi Kasting

Wendi is a native of Elizabethton and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from East Tennessee State University.  She has worked in software and start up companies in Atlanta before moving  back to Johnson City. Wendi and her husband, Chris, reside in Johnson City and have one child.

Tiffany Dalton

Technical Support Assistant

Tiffany graduated from Walters State Community College in 2013.  She has worked in healthcare for the last 10 years and has experience in various programs and technology.  She lives in Greeneville with her husband, a USMC Veteran, their 16 year old son, two dogs and 2 cats.

Jillian Davis

Assistant Director, Niswonger Online

Mrs. Davis has been teaching French to students of all ages since 2005. Her interest in the French language began when she was a little girl, and in high school it quickly became her favorite subject. She holds an Honors B.A. in French and an Honors B.A. in International Studies from Saint Louis University. She spent her junior year of college in Lyon, France where she lived with a family and took classes at the Université de Lyon. Mrs. Davis went on to earn an M.A. in French literature from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts in Teaching from East Tennessee State University. She has taught French and English as a Second Language at several schools in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. She currently teaches online as an adjunct for the Niswonger Foundation, Tennessee Online Public School, and East Tennessee State University. Mrs. Davis lives with her husband and two sons in Johnson City.

Lisa Brewer

Region 4

Lisa Brewer worked for Gibson County Special School District for 32 years.  She started her career in education as an elementary school teacher and then became a school counselor; serving grades 9-12 her last 10 years. During her time as a high school counselor, Lisa was Dual Enrollment Coordinator.  Planning schedules and advising students in college and career choices is her specialty. She earned her Bachelor’s in Education and Master’s in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Martin.  Lisa has always enjoyed working with students, educators, and families to ensure students have the best opportunities possible.

Donna Smith

Region 3

Donna Smith has served with APAA since 2021 with a goal to help provide all high school students in her region access to AP courses as well as assisting school staff supporting those students.

She is a long-time Tennessee educator, serving as a teacher and librarian in Lauderdale County for 42 years. During her time in Lauderdale County, she served as the Dual Enrollment and Distance Learning Coordinator for ten years, giving her first-hand experience supporting students in Niswonger Online courses. Donna is a graduate of Union University. She and her husband have two grown children.

 

Janet Graham

Region 2

Janet Graham has served the Cumberland County School district of Tennessee for more than 42 years, with roles including teacher, State Department Consultant, elementary and high school principal, supervisor of K-12 curriculum and, most recently, Director of Schools. Janet is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and is married to Mike Graham, with three daughters and five grandchildren.
