Saving Time & Money
Our program is a partnership between the Tennessee Department of Education and the Niswonger Foundation which builds on the Foundation’s expertise in virtual instruction through Niswonger Online. With the AP Access for ALL program, students gain valuable preparation for college, while districts don’t have to invest in developing and delivering the courses themselves. Our mission is to ensure equitable academic opportunities, providing every student with access to high-quality learning and the chance to achieve their full potential.
-
Online AP Courses
Our students get a head start on college--saving TIME and MONEY-- with the ability to earn college credit and knock out introductory courses while still in high school.
-
AP Exams
We cover AP exam fees with NO COST to schools or students. By the summer of 2024, APAA students had potentially earned 5,000 college credits, helping them save both time and money in their post-secondary education.
-
Online Adjunct Teachers
Our APAA teachers are APSI-certified, Tennessee-licensed, and College Board-trained. Our teachers are the gold standard, with 91% of them having a master's degree or higher.
-
Classroom Mini-Grants
Since 2021 we have awarded grants to almost 400 teachers totaling $175,000 to aid in developing or expanding AP programs at their local high schools.
-
AP Teacher Training
We have approved scholarships for 1,341 teachers to attend virtual AP Summer Institute Training to provide our teachers with resources and skills to teach AP at their high school, saving Tennessee schools $600,000 in professional development fees since 2020.
